Querrey vs Nadal (By: Mulder)

Nadal is on a roll as he lost just one set this Wimbledon. However, 3 opponents were not a match for him. Sugita is a challenger player, especially with the way he is playing right now. Tsonga is still searching for his form after that long injury from last year while Sousa is not a grass specialist ( Has a negative record on this surface ).

The only set Nadal lost was against Kyrgios and the bad boy Aussie lost eventually just with 2 games difference in a match where he was complaining and bitching ( altough he was right about Nadal for taking so much time ) around again.

It is no secret that Nadal always struggles against tall servers on grass ( remember Del potro last year and the loss against Muller two years ago here at Wimbledon ).

And Querrey is serving well, really well. In fact, he averages 25 Aces per match in this tournement. He leads the tournement with 100 Aces. In his last match against Sandgren he won 83% of his points on first serve and 60% of the points on second serve. He allowed just four break points and saved all of them so he was very dominant on serve.

Querrey is a great grass player anyway with a 70-40 record. He reached the quarter final here in 2016 and in 2017 he made it to the semi finals. And let's not forget that he beat Djokovic and Murray here in the past. In both matches he was a huge underdog.

“I love playing here and I'm getting more comfortable every year,” said Querrey, a Thousand Oaks High graduate. “I like playing on the grass. It's becoming more of a thing when I get here, I don't care so much who I'm playing because I have just the confidence that I can make a run regardless of who's in front of me.”

H2H is 1-4 for Nadal and the American won the last meeting in Mexico ( on hard ) in straight sets. In fact, he took always a set from the Spaniard when they played on 'faster surfaces'. The only loss in straight sets came on clay, which is no suprise of course.

Querrey knows what to do like all players try to do against Nadal: do not get in the rally by keeping the point short, serve well and set up that big forehand. Querrey possesses all those weapons so if he will reach his normal level, this could be a potential thriller, or at least closer than the odds suggest.

Come on everybody was saying that Nadal had a tough draw and now after he beat them all you start saying they weren't tough opponents? Believe me the way Nadal is playing this will a 3-0 win for him for sure

Querrey beat Murray when he was suffering from a hip injury and was struggling to finish the match. Likewise he was lucky to come up against and beat a below par Djokovic. I would not be surprised to see Nadal win in 3 sets as he is currently on top form and easily won the French Open.

It's alright, the Handicap covers a 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 victory for Nadal. If Querrey serves first and doesn't feel the scoreboard pressure, should see tighter games.

Is it possible for this score: 6-4 6-7 6-3 6-7 6-2 for Nadal ?

Would be hard to see this extend to the Fifth, but quite a chance if Querrey is able to take the sets to Tie-Breaks.
