England vs Panama

England was much better than the opponents from Tunisia but only managed to seal the victory during the additional period last Monday evening. Harry Kane was the star player with two goals scored in a game that the English side probably forgot as soon as it has finished.

They took the lead via Kane in eleventh minute, missing some good chances too, while Tunisians leveled up few minutes before the halftime whistle. It was via penalty kick taken by Sassi. English side had the dominance in the second part of the game and deserved that final goal actually even way earlier than when it was scored.

Their manager has no special reason to change much, although he might be tempted to rotate some. It's due the fact that he has many players of similar quality.

Kane should lead attack together with Rashford here. Formation should be similar to 3-5-2 this time too. Sterling should be rested. Dele Alli picked up an injury and won't perform here.

Panama couldn't do much better but to admit that the Belgium was better than them in a 3:0 defeat last Monday evening. They were defending decently well in the first halftime even though Belgium was attacking and dominating.

As soon as they tried to open up and do some more, they were punished at the back and couldn't cope with the strenght of their attack. Mertens and two goals from Lukaku sealed the final result, while it was obvious that the opponents was very dangerous with the ball to their feet.

Perez should lead the attack of Panamians in 4-1-4-1 formation. Barcenas, Cooper, Godoy and Rodriguez should be his offensive support. Defender Roman Torres overcame slight knock to face in first round and should continue here.

  • There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Panama's last 4 games (FIFA World Cup).

England secured their points against Tunisia very late into the match and will surely try not to repeat similar mistakes. Their ball movement and offensive compactivities should be even at the higher class here.

In case the team wants to stand real chances of getting the first position, they can only benefit from a higher margin victory here and surely have the potential for such outcome.
