West Brom vs West Ham by Luke
Apart from a victory in the season opening game against Crystal Palace away from home, players of West Brom showed very little positive things in the new season and in last three rounds of Premier League. In next three matches they have won only one point, scoring a goal in the progress. Most recently, the team suffered 1:0 narrow defeat away to Bournemouth.
Home team simply looked better on the field and more determined, having much more of the ball possession and chances created, but the visiting side was managing to hold onto the draw for a fair amount of time, still conceded the only goal in 79th minute that was scored by Wilson, while there was neither time nor energy in players of West Brom to react further. Ahead of the new home game, they'll try to impress after having quite uninteresting and passive game against Middlesbrough in previous home encounter.
Home team should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Rondon as number nine, with Chadli, Gardner and Philips as offensive midfielders. They will probably miss left back Chris Brunt (0/0) who returned to training sessions, but the game comes too early for him, similar to midfielder Jonathan Leko (3/0).
West Ham, on the other side, didn't start the season as expected, as not only the team got excluded from the Europa League play-off round against Romanian side Astra, but they have also won only three points out of first four matches of Premier League. Their victory came against Bournemouth in a 1:0 three pointer taken at home in the second round.
As for other three matches, all were defeats, to: Chelsea and Manchester City on the road, plus a 2:4 home defeat against Watford last weekend. Quite incredible scenario was seen, since the home team had double lead with goals from Antonio in 5th and 33rd minute, but then collapsed and managed to concede four goals from 41st to 63rd minute, staying completely paralyzed later on, without being able to respond properly. Surely, they are aiming for a victory here, since the team needs a positive outcome badly, while they surely have enough quality to do so.
Players of West Ham should be lined up in 4-2-3-1 formation with Zaza as central striker, plus Antonio, Lanzini and Payer as offensive help. Central defender James Collins made mistakes in previous game and should be replaced by Angelo Ogbonna in the starting lineup. Visitors continue without forwards Andy Carroll (1/0), Andre Ayew (1/0) and Diafra Sakho (0/0) and left back Aaron Cresswell, also without performance so far.
I have no doubts that players of West Ham have much more of individual quality than their opponents. They just need to start clicking together in the new season and the points difference between these two sides will be obvious. One way or another, they remain favorites in my eyes and are surely closer to get all three points this time.
