West Brom vs Manchester United by Luke
West Brom comes from another good performance during the midweek, as the team won over Swansea 3:1 and secured their third consecutive victory in front of own fans. Visitors actually did more in the first halftime and controlled the ball a bit better, but the hosts had great opening of the second halftime as Rondon scored three goals from 50th to 63rd minute.
Even after three goals conceded, visitors kept on pushing and had more of the ball possession, however only managing to reduce the deficit towards the end of the game with a goal from Routledge in 78th minute. After this three pointer, West Brom continued flying high, as the side currently stands at seventh position, having just four points less than Manchester United and already eleven more than red zone placed teams, which surely gives them a lot of relax.
Home team should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Rondon as striker, plus Philips, Morrison and Chadli as offensive midfielders. Central defender Jonny Evans missed the previous game and remains doubtful for this one as well. Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill is sidelined with injury, while unfit and not ready remains offensive midfielder Saido Berahino.
Manchester United, on the other side, managed to pull out a three pointer during the midweek away to Crystal Palace celebrating 2:1 victory. They were better opponent out of the two teams and completely deservedly took the three points being better thorugh the game. Pogba brought them into the lead in the additional minutes of the first halftime, but visitors reacted well in 66th minute to level up the result via McArthur.
Even though the Red Devils only managed to seal the victory in 88th minute with a goal from Ibrahimovic, it needs to be said that the victory was completely fair. It was ninth consecutive game without a defeat for Manchester, as the team continued being sixth in the league, having three points less than Europa League placed Tottenham and six less than Champions League placed Citizens, so they continue to be in a must win situation.
Visitors from Manchester are set to play in 4-2-3-1 formation as well, with Ibrahimovic as central striker, plus Martial, Mata and Pogba as offensive midfielders. Central defender Chris Smalling is doubtful for this one, while injured remain to be left back Luke Shaw (7/0), central defender Eric Bailly (13/0) and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan (9/1).
- There have been over 2.5 goals scored in West Brom's last 4 home games (Premier League).
West Brom comes into this match surely with a boosted morale after their victory over Swansea and the team is fired up to show something impressive against very reputable side. Manchester secured back to back victories and remains a bit desperate to show that they can be good in consecutive matches. Visitors are a better side with better individuals and surely are favorites here, but my choice goes with over goals since the home team also looked very positive at the moment and actually scores goals with ease.
