Waasland Beveren vs Mechelen by Isaiah
Waasland Beveren did not escaped the defeat in the first match of the season, losing fairly away to Club Brugge with a score of 3-1. They entered the game little bit anxious and admitted to a penalty only at 5th minute, while the score was already 3-0 at 38'. To the second half however they sharply raised their performance and apart from the goal scored in the end of the first half, had some opportunities to score and reduce the score, while Club Brugge did some maintenance for the upcoming Champions League game against Copenhagen.
Generally Waasland Beveren did not showed something special, their defense seems in trouble as they did so many mistakes, while their attacking line looks so thin at the moment, and they need some more quality player in front. They signed Slovenian striker Vito Plut midweek, but probably he will not play tonight.
French striker Sebastien Didier (only 4 goals last last season), Colombian midfielder Daniel Cruz, second goalkeeper Colin Coosemans and left winger Alves Da Silva (he was one of the few that had good performance against Brugge) are all out for tonight's game, while dutch midfielder Bas Sibum is back after injury. They will be lined up with 4-4-2, attacking duo will be again Jurgen Cavens with Dugary Nbadashinze (he is more attacking midfielder than striker, but no other real forward available at the moment).

Mechelen had a great second half against Charleroi to the first game of the season, giving a good football show to their fans, and won with a score of 4-2. In the first half, despite the fact that they were in front of the score with 2-1, they were a little bit troubled, but they improved a lot to the second half, and apart from the goals scored they had lot of opportunities to make a higher score.
Good midfielder David Destorme (4 goals last season), newly signed midfielder Joachim Van Damme, Danish striker Nicklas Pedersen and defender Senad Karahmet are all out for different reasons. Mechelen will be lined up with aggressive 4-3-3, having the big gun Mads Junker in front, with Allesandro Cordaro and Thomas Enevoldsen behind him.
Waasland Beveren showed many weaknesses against Club Brugge, and very difficult they will appear improved in such a short time, and without Da Silva. Mechelen has good morale after the victory over Charleroi and are able to double their victories.
