Vitesse vs Heracles by DamirJ
Vitesse remained undefeated last weekend and increased their winning record with a 3:0 victory over Groningen last weekend. More impressive victory when you know that they played with a man down since 30th minute and had to play much more carefully with the hosts having the possession and several dangerous situations in front of the guest's goal, but the guests were fortunate to score the first goal, playing really smart later on and hitting Groningen two times more on counters securing their fourth victory this season.
With four wins and only one draw, they are currently second at the table with two points less than league leaders from Twente. more impressive is that they have four victories in a row without conceding a single goal during those four, although their opponents weren't weak at all.
Now, after such a good start, they finally await one of the weakest sides on the road and are expected to continue their good streak. Central defender van den Heijden is out for this game due red card in previous game, while right back van den Struijk will be out in next months following an injury.
Heracles, on the other side, doesn't have too much to hope for this season. With five points in five rounds they occupy eleventh position without too much further ambitions as staying away from relegation position should be their main target this season.
They are coming from a first victory this season, earned last weekend at home over NAC Breda 2:1. They were trailing early in the game, but somehow managed to overturn the match with two late goals and celebrate their first victory since April this year. However, their main problems remain matches on the road, just as their defense that conceded in every game played this season.
Moreover, team is experiencing several problems before this match as the following players will be unable to play in this clash: right back Koenders, left back Davidson, main central defender Veldmate, just as midfielder Vejinovic and Vujicevic, while main striker Armenteros is in flu and doubtful for the game.
Vitesse is sure favorite for this game with really great odds even on simple home win. They are much more quality opponents with better individuals, are playing in perfect form right now and have their great momentum, while the guests should be one of the poorest sides on the road this season and with so many absent players, especially in the defense will have a hard time staying undefeated with bigger margin here.
