Villarreal vs Getafe by Neuro
In their last match before this one, Villarreal completely dominated the field and is coming from a 4:1 victory at home over Valencia in neighboring derby, as the home side was much better prepared, scored four goals and conceded only one, forming the final result six minutes before the full time whistle.
With this victory, team of Villarreal completed third consecutive victory at their own stadium "Madrigal" and will try tonight to get the fourth, in order to maintain the fourth position in the league for another round. The team is performing above their expectations, being steadily at fourth position just behind surely three strongest teams in the country. Coach Marcelino Garcia Toral has no fresh problems with injured or suspended players, but he will surely change the original lineup from the previous game against Valencia, as he rested regular midfielder Javier Aguino (10/1), defensive midfielder Tomas Pina (10/1) and striker Pereira (10/2) back in that game. Left defender Bojan Jokic (2/0) and defensive midfielder Farinos (no participation yet) remain to be on a long term injury list.
Getafe, on the other side, went into the game very strongly, but found themselves back in the score from eight minute against Bilbao at home. Although the home side tried to react, pushed for the goal, they even missed a penalty kick by Diego Castro just before the half-time whistle, they still remained defeated with a narrow 0:1 result.
This defeat broke a streak of four victories in a row for the team of Luis Garcia, as the side was unable to make the history and get fifth consecutive victory in Primera which would be their first time. Even so, the team remained at the top six positions at the table and it appears that they are doing much better playing against stronger sides. Coach intends also to make few changes in his side, just to keep the players fresh during busy schedule of the team. Stopper Alexis (8/0) and left back Escudero (4/0) should take positions of Rafa (9/1) and Lago (7/0) respectively. Right defender Alvaro Arroyo (5/1) is doubtful for this game and won't probably play. At the top of attack, Ciprian Marica (3/0) should start instead of Adrian Colunga (9/3).
Villarreal remains favorite at home, but with the way both teams are playing, open game is expected with many goals coming from both possession, but also from counter attacks, as both teams have fast wingers.
