Ull/Kisa vs Ranheim by 20Legend
Ull/Kisa has not been able to leave the relegation zone because of their recent three losses in a row. After a very strong home game against the league leaders Kristiansund (2-3) in the start of October, they got way too small for 4th placed Sandnes Ulf (4-0) on the road last weekend. Ull/Kisa has been like day and night when you compare games played at home (7-3-4) compared to away (0-4-10).
Sandnes Ulf got the game into their tracks early on and it was already decided who the better team was after the first quarter of the game. The host locked their grip around Ull/Kisa with their top scorer Pontus Engblom netting twice before halftime. With an early goal in the second half, it was really not more energy left in the visiting team and it gave Sandnes Ulf the chance to controlling the possession towards the final whistle. It resulted in a fourth goal as well after 84 minutes, but it was certainly not wrong to call it an easy win. However, it is Ull/Kisa’s home form that has put them in 13th place at the table with only two points up to 12th placed Hodd who has the safe spot. Defender Martin Rosenkilde (16/0) is suspended.
Ranheim was battling for avoiding relegation for a long time this season, but a strong period recently with 4-0-1 in the last five games has brought them up in 9th place with 37 points. As always, it has been a various season for Ranheim. They have several players with long experience from this level and even Tippeligaen. However, they can never put it together for a entire season which makes them unpredictable in every game. A perfect example was their recent two games. After smashing 11th placed Fredrikstad (1-7) in the beginning of the month, they only managed to beat rock bottom Raufoss by one goal margin even if the visitors already has been relegated for some time. However, the three points was the most important though as it made them safe from relegation this season. Robert Stene was the man that saved them once again with his 18th goal of the season.
The game was a one way traffic when you look the entire game, but Raufoss managed to get a couple of big chances themselves. With the goal not coming before the 53rd minute, it was possible of taking points in this match. The goal was also not great with the ball being cleared badly and was given to Robert Stene’s feet. The performance was therefore not great at all, but it was enough against the weakest team in the league. The home team was also unfortunate with offensive injuries during both prior and during the season, but their striker Ole Kristian Langas (13/5) returns here. That will give them another edge upfront together with Nikolai Solberg (26/9) who has been a bright spot for the home team.
Even if football will never be math it is just one solution on paper today. Ull/Kisa needs at least one win in order to make it another year. With 5th placed Kongsvinger waiting away from home next week, it must be three points heading Ull/Kisa’s way here. Ranheim grabbed their vital three points last week and has nothing more to play for. They have also been weak on the road this season (4-1-9) which does not make them any more competitive in this case. Even with three straight losses, Ull/Kisa has only lost one of their last 10 home games (7-2-1) and they also lead against league leader Krisitansund with 2-0 after the first half. The motivation and consistency at home should really give Ull/Kisa all three points here and will be my pick.
