Udinese vs Juventus by Enzo
Udinese is again in an ugly period, since the team comes from third straight defeat, this time away from home against Lazio. However, truth to be told, they didn't look that bad in comparison to the players of Lazio, in actually not that interesting match. Neither of the teams were wiling to risk a lot, but Lazio woke up towards the end of the match and looked more concrete.
Only goal was scored in 72nd minute from a penalty kick taken by Immobile, while the visiting side had no quality to respond further. Udinese is now at fourteenth position with twenty-nine points earned, which is fourteen more than red zone placed sides. They are far away from relegation battle, but their performances of late doesn't inspire with much of confidence and te side can only be thankful that they are well above struggling sides.
Udinese is set to play in 4-3-1-2 formation, using Zapata and Thereau as forwards but with the support of de Paul as central offensive midfielder as well. Right back Marco Faraoni (5/0) and midfielder Assane Gnoukouri (4/0) are sidelined with injuries for this one.
Juventus comes from yet another victory, tenth in a row in all competitions and eight consecutive in Serie A, as the side took a professional three pointer in front of own fans against Empoli 2:0 on previous Saturday evening last weekend. They were more dominant from the first minute, but managed to score goals only once they upped the tempo.
That happened at the start of second half, as the players of Juventus quickly took the double lead, via an own goal in 52nd minute and a goal from ALex Sandro in 65th minute, reaching the three pointer without having their goal jeopardizes a lot till the end. Juve continues to lead the table having seven points more than Roma and with twelve rounds till the end, this game surely is a must win for them.
Visitors from Turin will be playing most likely in 4-2-3-1 formation, using Higuain as central striker, plus offensive midfielders Cuadrado, Dybala and Mandzukic who are more of forwards actually than midfielders. Visitors have no real injury problems ahead of this one, but their players defender Mehdi Benatia and midfielder Claudio Marchisio did have some health issues during the week but should be ready for this one.
- Juventus have won 8 of their last 10 matches against Udinese.
- Juventus have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 away matches against Udinese.
Quality of Juventus players' and as a team and of their opponents is nowhere to be matches. Competitive motive is also with the away side anything more would be simply needless to say for this one.
