Twente vs Cambuur by DamirJ
Twente comes from third straight victory, since the team have won narrowly last weekend over Roda away from home with a 1:0 result. Overall, it was a balanced game from both sides, as neither of them looked actually threatening, however the visitors used their chances a bit better and sealed the victory with a goal from Ede in 62nd minute, while the hosts didn't respond in a proper manner.
Overall, a draw might be a bit more fair outcome, however, the game was simply too passive and rarely had true goalscoring chances. As said, they are now on a run of three consecutive victories, previously winning over Utrecht and Heerenveen and there's no doubt that the team will try to exploit the current atmosphere and seal another one. Currently, they are six points ahead of red zone placed Excelsior and naturally, remain close to a must win situation. Central defender Georgios Katsikas (3/0), left full back Stefan Thesker (1/0) and forward Jari Oosterwijk (14/3) are the only players missing for manager Rene Hake today as his side will try to get their fourth consecutive victory, something they didn't manage to do since 2013. Hosts should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Azzouzi as striker.
Cambuur, on the other hand, is in a completely different situation, since the team comes from sixth consecutive defeat since the re-start of the league and having that in mind, they are now almost favorites to relegate in case the team doesn't change something very soon. Maybe more worrying is that they have scored only twice during these six games, staying without a goal scored in last three matches.
Most recently, they come from quite easy 2:0 defeat at home against Utrecht, without actually looking anywhere near competitive. Visitors were better from the off, but slowly increased their pressure and were really dominating and controlling on the field as the time progressed, finally getting a victory thanks to two goals in last eleven minutes of the match, via Haller and Van der Maarel. The team now stands at the rock bottom position, having nine points less than firstly safe side Willem II.n Visitors will probably be playing in 4-3-1-2 formation with Barto and Veen as strikers. Central midfielder Erik Bakker (16/1), right full back Marlon Pereira (5/0) and offensive midfielder Furdjel Narsingh (20/1) all miss out.
Twente is building considerable distance away from the relegation zone, but will need to continue winning in order to be completely sure. Momentum is completely on their side and anything but their easy victory would be a surprise for me here.
