Trapani vs Benevento by Enzo
Ten rounds after the start of Serie B, Trapani remains the only team without a victory in the new season. In the most recent game last weekend, team anyway didn't expect to walk away with a three pointer when they visited Bari and stood defeated 3:0. However, it must be said that the players of Trapani had their amount of ball possession and chances created, but the hosts were the ones who controlled the game and the result better.
Hosts took the lead in nineth minute via Monachello, remaining a bit better for the rest of the game as well, but sealed the victory thanks to lack of concentration in Trapani's defense within five minutes, in 64th via Ivan and five minutes later again with a goal from Monachello. This was fourth defeat for Trapani in last five matches, as the team continues to be at the rock bottom position, with four defeats and six draws so far, which puts them four points behind safely placed Ascoli. So, despite their ugly form, the team has a lot more time to improve and increase the chances to avoid relegation, but sooner they improve - better for them. Home side will be missing midfielders Coronado (6/1) and Raffaello (2/0) due injuries.
After a very good start in the season, Benevento suffered couple of setbacks in previous rounds. After two consecutive defeats, both away from home, against Entella and Salernitata, Benevento didn't manage to get all three points in a home game against Perugia last Saturday evening, staying to a goalless draw only. It was a bit more interesting game than what the final result suggest, with both teams playing actually quite openly and with the home team being a bit better and probably deserving more.
Still, Benevento remained without a victory for the third consecutive matches, which saw them being at seventh position at the moment with 4-4-2 record, being tied up in points with out of play-off placed Frosinone as well. This means that the team needs to get something out of this game and revert the things back to positive. Away from home Benvento looked decently well before they suffered two consecutive defeats and the team will be looking to bounce back to positive results here. Visitors should have no injury worries ahead of this game.
Both teams are really close to must win situations. Trapani has nothing to wait for and simply needs to get a victory here, while Benevento anyways plays more open away from home and we can expect plenty of chances from both sides. Odds are surely worth a shot since I rate the chances close to break even.
