Tours vs Brest by Lucien
Tours is having really bad start into the new season, since the team currently stands only a point above the rock bottom placed Auxerre and with two victories so far in the season. However, apart from many other teams, the team is actually looking good in attack and should only correct their defensive, huge errors they have.
Most of their matches are very interesting and come with lot's of goals, but defensive naivety is what costs them the most. In the most recent game, they suffered a 3:1 defeat away to Red Star, without being very competitive during the match. They had their chances and maybe deserved somewhat different outcome, but the hosts broke them with three goals inside last ten minutes of the first halftime, while they were only able to reduce the deficit in 47th via Bouanga. In previous home match they managed to outplay Valenciannes with a 4:1 result and everyone is surely eager to continue the home momentum. Home side will miss goalkeeper Kacou (4/0), defender Milosevic (6/0) and forward Malfleury (10/1).
Brest is having a very good start in the season, as the team looks one of the better performers so far in Ligue 2 and are looking like a team that might even get promotion in the end. At this moment, they are keeping the first position with seven victories, four draws and two defeats, being still only three points above the fourth placed Le Havre, position that doesn't get to promote.
However, team suffered defeat in the previous game they played, coming from a 1:2 defeat at home against Lens. It must be said that they looked like much better team for the most of the game and should have deserved something more than just a plain defeat, but the visitors did well in attack and simply got lucky this time. It was first defeat after six matches for them and they are surely more than eager to back on the winning track now and not to give up of leading position that easily. Guests will miss defender Nganioni (11/0), midfielder Eric Tie Bi (0/0) and Grougi (7/2).
I see both teams being threatening and playing open minded football here, much more than most of Ligue 2 usually does. Tours has nothing to wait for and is need of three points, while visitors from Brest anyway remain more quality side and with plenty of options to score. Both teams to score and over goals is my first choice here.
