Torino vs Genoa by Enzo
Torino comes into this match being in a bad streak, but there's no doubt that the players will give everything in order to get a three pointer here. They suffered three defeats in a row, away to Sampdoria 2:0 which maybe wasn't expected, but then faced up against much stronger rivals and suffered home defeat to Juventus 1:3 and finally, last weekend 5:3 defeat against Napoli on the road.
It was a very open game from both sides, but the home team had overall complete control over the result and entered the match much better, taking 3:0 lead after only 22 minutes of play (all three goals scored by Mertens). Visitors responded in the second half with a goal from Belotti, while both team scored twice more in last twenty minutes of the game, Napoli via Chiriches and Mertens again, visitors via Falque and Rossettini. Torino is now at ninth position with eight points less than AC Milan and really needs points here desperately. Defenders Cesare Bovo (4/0) and Cristian Molinaro (4/0) are injured for this one.
After a great victory at home over Fiorentina six days ago, Genoa failed to impress again in front of own fans and suffered a bit unexpected 3:4 defeat against Palermo. They actually entered the game better and looked more controlling, however visiting side looked really well mostly on counters and were deadly effective in the final effort.
Simeone brought them into the lead in fourth minute, while Quaison leveled up just before the halftime whistle. Second halftime was even more interesting, with the hosts taking 3:1 lead via Simeone again and Ninkovic, but the guests had great ending of the match with goals from Goldaniga, Rispoli and Trajkovski, last two scoring in last seven minutes of the match. Despite this defeat, Genoa remained in the middle of the table with twenty-three points earned, which is fourteen more than relegating placed sides and far away from their red zone battles. Forward Leonardo Pavoletti (9/3) is injured for this one.
Genoa is having a decent record so far, but their away from home matches are far away from impressive. It's time for Torino to impress again and they are having a decent opponent, but still the one that is beatable in front of Torino's fans. Home team should get the victory even easier than what the odds suggest.
