Cilic vs Cuevas (By: Iniestaone)

Second round from ATP Budapest between Cilic (#11) and Cuevas (#73)

Here I am backing Cilic to take a straight set victory against Cuevas

Cilic is in really poor form at the moment with three losses in a row (Shapovalov, Rublev, Pella), he struggled with a knee injury in the start of the season and he has had a hard time finding form as of late. But its just a question of when, not if, he will start performing again

I watched Cuevas today as I backed Maden to defeat him and I can't quite understand how Maden didn't win that match. It went to the third set where Cuevas was struggling with moving so much and he needed a medical timeout and rubbing between several games, he was in pain while serving and Maden still couldn't touch his serve in the third. Cuevas has had a tough schedule lately and I don't think he has the physical condition to put in a big performance against Cilic, he was limping in that third set versus Maden and its understandable that he is extremely tired after playing a lot of tennis these last ten days.

Cilic has the general quality to win this in two sets and with Cuevas poor physical shape, i think he will do it.

Today, three hours before I've lost on Galovic and that would be twice from croatian players and I dont want that hapend again.
Probably it is hard to be objective on domestic players. So I have a question for you...?
How much you give on victory to Cilic in % and to correct score. Thanks.

Thats why i never bet on Dzumhur as a Bosnian :D (Cilic is my fave player though so I don't bet on him often either)

Uhm... i would say its 70% Cilic, it will all come down to him because what I saw from Cuevas today was a player who was struggling to move and if Cilic brings his A-game then he can for sure win this in two sets, Maden didn't have the technical shots to beat his backhand which Cilic does. I don't see Cuevas winning a set unless Cilic literally throws it away
