Harris G. vs Brown (By: Iniestaone)
Final qualifying match for Australian Open between Harris (#119) and Brown (#224)
Two big servers face off in this final qualifier that I think could go either way, but we'll see a lot of games. They are both much better servers than returners (both are 1.96 cm tall) and they've both started the season in similar fashion with 4 wins and 1 loss each. One could argue that Harris has dominated his matches more during the quals but he has faced easier opposition in Kolar and Koepfer while Brown has faced Berlocq and Arevalo.
Brown hasn't impressed me on serve so far and he for sure has another level to his game than what he has been able to reach so far. He had a weak first set vs Arevalo where he was broken twice but he held serve for the remainder of the match. Almost the same thing with Berlocq as he was broken in the first set and lost it 3-6 but held serve in the second and was broken once in the third.
Harris has only been broken once in his two matches and that was against Koepfer in his very first serve game.
Considering how both Harris and Brown base their game around their serves, I think we'll see this match easily cross the 22.5 line. Most likely we'll see three sets but the odds are good enough for me to take this line bet.
