Moraing vs Majchrzak (By: Iniestaone)
Final qualifying match for Australian Open between Moraing (#150) and Majchrzak (#176)
Moraing's season start has been wonderful with 6 wins and 1 loss, he reached the finals in Playford after causing a few minor upsets but lost as a favorite to Dutra Silva. In the AO qualifiers he's defeated Saville in two and Baldi in three.
Majchrzak has defeated Schur and Rubin in straight sets so far in the AO qual and I think his win against Rubin (7-5 6-1) as a slight underdog might have inflated the odds on him here. On paper, that looks like a really solid performance but fact is Rubin has not played well since the Noumea semi finals.
Moraing is a much better hardcourt player than Majchrzak is and he has a much bigger serve, his playing style of serve-volley is a lot better on these fast hardcourt surfaces in Australia than Majchrzak's who was 16/10 on hardcourts last year but those wins were stacking up more the slower the surfaces got. He was 1/3 in Australia last year. I don't see him qualifying past Moraing here.
