Juan Ignacio Londero vs Otte

Semifinal qualifier to Australian Open between Londero (#117) and Otte (#169)

Londero is playing career high tennis right now as he's never been this good. He is the underdog vs Otte because of the surface, he is a claycourter through and through while Otte prefers the hard surfaces. Still, Otte plays his best tennis on the fastest possible indoor courts and this is not one of them.

Looking at Londero's last qualifying match, he defeated Robredo 7-5 7-5 without getting broken. More so, he only gave Robredo two breakpoints which the Spaniard couldn't use.

Meanwhile, Otte defeated Caruso in two sets but it wasn't nearly as convincing. Caruso had 7 breakpoints and managed to use one of them, taking the second set to tiebreak and losing it 6-7 after losing the first 3-6. Otte is a huge guy, 1.96 cm, and puts most of his emphasis on his serve. Right now I don't think its working very well and when he doesn't have his big serve then he doesn't have much. Londero meanwhile is heading towards top 100, he moves around well and will win plenty of points on Otte's second serve and the way he served vs Robredo makes me believe he will do a good job on holding his own serve. I don't think he should be this big of an underdog against Otte.
