Darcis vs Karlovic (By: Iniestaone)

I have watched Darcis in Pune and he has surprised me a lot. He missed the entire 2018 season due to an elbow injury, but like several times before he made his return to tennis after a long absence. He has been nothing short of amazing considering the circumstances as he defeated Carballes Baena in two, Mmoh in three and most recently 4th seeded Jaziri in two.

Karlovic got the job done versus Gulbis, he clocked 25 aces and won after two tiebreaks. Nothing more to say about that really, it was a typical Karlovic match.

I think Karlovic will edge out yet another win in Pune vs Darcis and I think we'll see another first set that goes over 10.5 games. Darcis does not have the best serve, but he has the advantage over Karlovic when the ball is in play and he will be able to control the rallies on his own serve. Karlovic will naturally win his own service games.

Well, Dr Karlovic impressed all of us but with aces, 13 + 17 + 25. Without this segment Karlovic is nothing special if we speaking about tennis. So this is his weapon to beat every player no matter of age or experience. Average for the first and second service in croatian player around 70% but also in last one is a huge difference between 1st and 2nd service 89 - 55
On the otger side Steve Darcis has been Protected by tournament and believe or not in all sport it means a lot. Both of them are practicly generation +/- 5 years but you need to know that Darcis enjoy in Challanger tournament which proves so many tournanent, from France to Check Republik to Finland. Bordeaux, Lyon, Eckental, Rennes, Trani, Cordenons, Helsinki, Noumea.
I think both of them are in the same position because last year Darcis was at Camberra where he beat at R1 Courentin Mounet with 70% 6 - 1 6 - 2 at R2 Podlipnik Castello with 70% 6 - 2 6 - 4 and at QF beat Denis Shapavalov with 70%. At SF Darcis lost from Struff. Why...? Because of so many aces from german player. On the other hand Karlovic last year at Australia Open beat Laslo Djere at R1 and R2 Sugita but the difference between first and second service is a big problem to him. From 85 to 53. Finally he lost from Andreas Seppi.
I would say that Karlovic is very tired and that shows result. If he expect aces and fast moves in few steps to get game I ' am positive that match goes on his side. I' ll give Darcis 45 - 55 Karlovic.
Darcis to win!

Another important fact about Ivo Karlovic.
- ) he said for croatian newspapper "Sportske Novosti" that he never come back on tournament if he get out of TOP 100 of ATP.
As you can see it was a lie and sure I just coll him a lier ...
- ) also, I catch him several time to fix the match
We should change the name of this sport from tennis to aceball thanks to him because as you can see, after 27 aces he lost his game. After all he couldnt decide which sport to play: basketball or tennis but somehow he decided this one.
You may win in this SF but you work doesnt impress me at all. In fact: "Shame on you"!

^ i dont really understand your comments, not sure when you wrote the latter one but Karlovic has won the match now so he didn't throw anything. Also, at the end, are you referring to me or Karlovic? If Karlovic, shame on him, why? If me, why? For disagreeing with you on the outcome of this match? I didn't even have Karlovic as the winner in my preview, I just had the games bet on the first set

You're a confusing guy
