Murray vs Verdasco (By: Morfeo)
Andy Murray is slowing trying to get back to his best form, and we cannot be sure if this will happen in this event or later on in the season. But this is the last big event of the year and we expect Murray to fight at his best to have a good run here. He already won this event in 2012 when he was coached by Lendl, and also played the final in 2008.
Murray met Verdasco 14 times in the ATP tour and won 13 of those. This should give him some confidence entering the match. We also know that Verdasco is not a big server, and he can struggle against Murray returns. He's also a temperamental player and he often throws his matches away because of lack of confidence or poor focus.
This price would have been much shorter a couple of years ago, but we can still see Murray as quite superior to Verdasco from a technical and mental point of view.
