Anderson vs Tsitsipas (By: Stanioooo)

Kevin Anderson faces Stefanos Tsitsipas in the SFs in Toronto.

Well, I was thinking a lot what pick to make about this SF match, because there are so many possible options, but finally decided to play it +2.5 games AH for the Greek. Why? Kevin showed outstandingly good performance against Grigor Dimitrov, but it was more because of the awful display by the Bulgarian. He just doesn't know what he is doing on the court almost all of the year and the same mistakes are repeating evenry single match- today will make lots of backhand errors, tomorrow a lot of double faults, but against Anderson he made a "brilliant" mix of all of his weaknesses in a single match including lost games from 40:15..The match against Tsitsipas will have nothing in common with the one against Grigor, I am sure about that. It's impossible to compare the currect form of the Greek and the Bulgarian. Stefanos is full of confidence after he reached the SFs in Washington where he was stopped by Alex Zverev and another SF here in Toronto beating players like Thiem, Djokovic and the biggest surprise maybe the defending champion Alex Zverev.

It's impossible to compare their ways to the SFs, because Anderson had much easier job against Donskoy, Ivashka and Dimitrov obviously in awful form. He also didn't play in the previous weeks after Wimbledon in comparison with Tsitsipas, so the Greek looks like in better rhythm and moment form. When we add the fact he somehow beat in the last round better player than Anderson, who is typical to Zverev (tall, with excellent serve, but with worse movement on the court), I see the chances for Tsitsipas very high. He looks calmed on the court, which is not very typical for such a young lad. His serve works amazingly good this weeks in Washington and Toronto.

H2H it's also 1:0 for the Greek who beat Anderson 6:7 6:3 6:3 in Estoril this season. I saw all of the options about this match and almost every single time I choose a match which obviously looks like over 2.5 sets or over 23.5 games for example it happens the opposite and one of the players makes something like the match of his career or his opponent plays awful. So, here I just decided to play Tsitsipas not to lose with more than 2 games difference. I don't want to risk to play him directly to win the match and when we add his serve works good and is capable of staying close to Anderson in the sets, +2.5 games AH looks very good option for me. Confident players are the most dangerous and world N6 can be his next victim!

Tsitsipas beat Anderson at Estoril wich is tournament on clay - he was seed No 1. Anderson was at Masters many times, three times at QF and three times on R3 wich looks good to me. So Anderson dont need to defending a points from last year while Tsitsipas is running like a bullit. Another thing: greek beat two of best players Dokovic and Zverev, but the german player was in the same screen play like Anderson. In other hand comparing two of these players is beetwen the ages. Anderson did not struggled with Dimitrov but Tsitsipas did. Anderson is for the first time in SF and I dont think he is stupid to miss that chance. However, if you win on Tsitsipas I would like to congratulation before the others
