Federer vs Pella (By: FairPlayBet)

ATP Stuttgart, third round, grass

So, the GOAT is back. After missing entire clay court season, Roger Federer decided to start preparing for Wimbledon on this tournament in Stuttgart. So, it's the same start for him as in 2017 when Federer also started in Stuttgart after skipping clay court season.

But unlike 2017 when he lost already in first match in Stuttgart, this time Federer was successful and won match against Mischa Zverev.

It wasn't too good match for Roger, at least not in first set. Namely Federer lost the first set with 3:6 but later took complete control and won the next two with 6:4/6:2.

I think this wasn't surprise. Federer needed a little bit time to find the rhythm. After all, similar was in 2017 when he lost here from Tommy Haas but later won trophy in Halle as well on Wimbledon and all that without dropping single set.

That being said, Federer IMO already today will show much better tennis. He was decent also against Zverev, not counting opening set. Also have in mind Zverev is good on grass with his decent service and good volleys.

Pella on the other side is everything but a dangerous opponent on grass. He has played here already two matches, won both obviously. But, before that in his entire career Pella was only 2-6 on grass. And note he is not some kid but he is already 28 years old. So, clearly the player from Argentina is not too interested for grass with only 8 matches during previous 12 years.

I have strong feeling these odds will drop a lot. Current 1.85 on Roger Federer for -4.5 games handicap is very nice value if you ask me.
