Darya Kasatkina vs Wozniacki

Bad start today for me on the French Open where my safest bet on the men draw is real disaster so far with Thiem killing the Japanese player Nishikori. So, nothing about over in that match unless some miracle happens.

But, let's try to get back on the winning track with this bet from the women part of the today's schedule. This is the only match I am interested in.

Carolina Wozniacki is my pick. The world No.2 IMO has decent chance to win, much better than the offered odds suggesting. What more, I would pick exactly Danish girl to go all the way to the finals from this half of the draw.

It's not I think she is among two best players on this season RG, but it's about excellent draw for her. Namely, all top favorites are in other half of the draw. There tomorrow will meet Serena Williams and Sharapova, one more former champion Muguruza is there as well current No.1 and first favorite Halep.

Wozniacki IMO is the best in her half. Experience is of course by far on her side. You know how they say "It's the most difficult to win first grand slam while later is everything much easier". Well, Wozniacki for a long time seems to have such problem but after winning title on this year Australian Open, I think she broke that mental barrier in her head.

The Danish girl was not perfect in recent clay court events, I am aware of that but R16 and twice QF were not disaster either.

The bottom line I wouldn't bet on Woz against any of the above mentioned players from other half but in this half, I would put my money on her against any of the players left including young Kasatkina.

The young Russian already achieved her best result ever in Paris by reaching this R16 but I think this is going to be the last stop for here.

Well, one who says about herself that on claycourts she's feeling like Bambi ... it's interesting for her to be seen as the best in her half at Roland Garros :)
