Svitolina vs Darya Kasatkina (By: Stanioooo)

3rd round in Rome and a match between Elina Svitolina and Daria Kasatkina.

This will be their first match on clay. They have three matches till now, one of them this season in Dubai and all of them were in Svitolina's favor. The Ukrainian is the reigning champion in Rome, so she has to defend a lot of points. Now she faces similar to her opponent, even younger and together with the fact Svitolina is looking to enjoy her stay in Rome, I think she will want to reach the final stages here for sure, 3rd round is absolutely not enough. She knows how to beat Kasatkina, she did it two times with big game difference. I doubt we will see big win for the Ukrainian here, because both of them started really strong in Rome with impressive wins.

If I have to describe what I expect tomorrow is slower start by Svitolina, she did it so many times and then to turn the match in the next two sets in style. This is so typical for her, but you never know. Maybe she can play aggressively from the beginning and win comfortably like Kvitova did against Kasatkina in Madrid. I thought to play Svitolina with AH, maybe -2.5 games or -3.5 games but it's total lottery with these kind of players. I prefer what I am confident in and that's a win for the Ukrainian! I don't know if she can defend the title, but at least she is capable of reaching SF or the final in ROME :))

The odds are not high, only 1.50 in Pinnacle, but it can be a good start, ceause this is the first match in the programme.

Typical Svitolina!

I'm just not impressed by myself how good I know this Ukrainian. Slowly start in the match, lost 1st set and then expected comeback.. 0:6 6:3 6:2!

No, its typical tennis 'favorite' behavior.. but there are so many excuses for tennis players that nobody can actually accuse them!
Same with Muguruza yesterday, she was 4-0 up in the third set, somehow find herself serving in match points situation (6-5 score) and 'double faulted' her way out of the tournament! Thank god it was obvious early..
