Nadal vs Nishikori (By: Stanioooo)
Final in Monte Carlo and a match between Rafa Nadal and Kei Nishikori.
Well, Nadal is in beast mode again. I don't think I have to talk about his achievements and results on clay during the years, everyone knows what's the situation on this surface. Only Dimitrov and Khachanov took 5 games against Nadal, while Bedene took 4 and Thiem 2 games. Dimitrov put the most pressure on Nadal today, but that happened only in the first set. In the second set even Dimitrov's tank(such a physical and strong player) was empty and couldn't perform in the same way. That happened to all of the players who play against Rafa, mostly against the Matador in such a form.
Nishikori steadily finds his form after the injury and plays very good in Monte Carlo beating some classy opponents like Berdych, Cilic and Alex Zverev, all of them in three sets. In fact he has only one match, which was won in straight sets against Medvedev. He was on the court much more time than Nadal and when you play almost every single day that's of high importance. Also Nishikori is not even close to this one during 2015 or 2016 when he was almost equal to Nadal and beat him twice on hard courts and was close to beat him on clay in Madrid 2014, but got an injury in the end of the second set. I'm not only sure, I'm more than 100% confident Nishikori's tank will be empty early in the 2nd set if he gave strong opposition in the first set like Dimitrov did.
Nadal said after the match against Dimitrov that he has some things to improve before the final and will try to be even better( better than that..). Nishikori is just doomed to lose tomorrow like everyone on Nadal's way to the title. Even when Nishikori was in form and Nadal wasn't that good, Nadal succeeded to win against Nishikori with more than 4 games difference on clay(in Paris and Barcelona). I'm not sure if Nishikori will also win more than 4/5 games against Rafa, the Spaniard in just too good and with the serve Nishikori has, I think there will be a lot of rallies and the Japanese will be finished very fast.
-5.5 games AH on Nadal is my pick, although I was thinking even for -6.5 games AH, because I don't think Kei will win more than 5 games tomorrow like everyone else on Nadal's way. It's only my guess, but I think Nadal has an amazing chance to win all of the tournaments on clay before the grass season, where he will participate.
If I have to give correct result I think about something like 6:3 6:1. Good Luck!
