De Minaur vs Mmoh (By: Stanioooo)

1st quarterfinal match in Brisbane between two youngsters-Alex De Minaur from Australia and Michael Mmoh from USA.

Both of them are under 20 years old and we can expect everything by both of them. They will show a lot of nerves for sure, because they realize that the winner of this match will be semifinalist in ATP 250 tournament, which is a big achievement for both of them. There are no official matches between them but here is Brisbane I will go with De Minaur. A lot of people in Australia think he is going to be the next Lleyton Hewitt and the future of Australian tennis. He is really talanted, but that's not enough to break in top 100. He has to start to be steady in his performances and wins like this one in his previous match against Milos Raonic can be big boosters. I was sure he can cause a lot of problems to Raonic but I didn't imagine he is capable of beating him in straight sets, although the Canadian came here after an injury. His performance against Steve Johnson in the first round was fabulous, too.

Michael Mmoh has good 1st serve with a lot of speed, but he is nothing special as a tennis player. I don't see anything in his performance which can be dominant- powerful forehands or backhands, serve and volley style like Mischa Zverev, superb defensive skills or agression from the baseline like Rublev and Alex Zverev. He succeeded to win a lot of matches in Brisbane but I don't think the opponents were so hard- only Mischa Zverev.

Everything can happen in a match between youngsters, but I think De Minaur has everything to beat his opponent with the support of Lleyton Hewitt and the crowd! This will make him a slight favourite here for sure and I'm going with him.
