Swindon Town vs Millwall by Shibby
League one action for me in a game that will see 7th placed Millwall visit Swindon Town. The game is an early kick off at starts at 13:30 (UK Time). The game will be played at The County Ground, Swindon.
The home side head into the game today in the relegation zone, they currently sit in 22nd 7 points away from Shrewsbury, also Shrewsbury have a game in hand over Swindon, so ideally they need to start getting some wins together to try and survive.
Swindon actually have a good set up, their stadium holds around 15,000+ fans and I think a lot of their fans were expecting them to mount a challenge to get into the Championship, however, this season they have struggled. What strikes me is that Swindon seem to be planning for the future as their squad is very young! I think they only have 1 or 2 players over 30 years old! This will not doubt have had an impact on their season. All sides these days need a good mixture of youth and experience.
Swindon head into the match on the back of 4 straight defeats, they have also lost 9 games from their past 12 league matches! 2 of these games were at home and 2 were away, they can't seem to get any consistency lately. They have scored in 3 of their last 4 games, however, it's their defense that lets them down, they have conceded 10 goals from their last 4 games.
The visitors for the game are Millwall, they are at the opposite end of the table, they haven't won in their last 3 league games, however, they are still only a couple of points away from a top 4 place. They also have 2 games in hand over most clubs in and around them, this will give them the push they need to get back to the Championship.
They are a big club and many of the fans are wanting them to get back into the Championship. Prior to their last game which ended 3-3 with Rochdale, Millwall were difficult to break down at the back. They conceded just one goal prior to this game vs Rochdale! They will no doubt be up for this game and I expect them to go out to win this game to try and push them into a play off place!
Millwall have some good players capable of scoring goals, Morrison, Gregory and O'Brien 36 goals between them this season and I expect one of them to get on the score-sheet in today's clash!
Therefore, I'll be backing a Millwall win at a good price of 2.05 with Bet365. Good Luck all.
