Strasbourg vs AC Ajaccio by Lucien
Strasbroug took only a point in a 1:1 draw away from home against Reims last weekend, as the team had every chances of walking away with something, but had to get satisfied with only a point against a side that also battles for the top three promotional spots.
Their hosts took the lead in eight minute already with a goal from Ouding, but the guestsd replied soon enough, in 23rd minute via Saad, remaining with a bit more of goalscoring chances, however without converting anything. Players of Reims were slightly better in the repetition, however also without scoreline change. After this point taken, Strasbourg has just a point less than third placed Nimes and also just two less than second placed Lens, being in a must win situation for this one.
Home team can't count at goalkeeper Bonnefoi (2/0) who anyway isn't integral part of the side, same as defender Seka (30/2), Marester (23/0), midfielders Nogueira (25/1) and Sacko (13/3) all due injuries.
AC Ajaccio, on the other side, suffered quite heavy defeat on last Monday evening when the team welcomed Lens and were quite clueless in defense, suffering 3:6 defeat in one of more interesting recent matches in Ligue 2. After this defeat, the team remains quite close in the relegation battle and can't relax a lot.
It was a very open first halftime where the visitors from Lens took the double lead via Habibou and Ephestion, while Frikeche and Sainati leveled up the result after thirty minute of play, however - visitors managed to score three more till the halftime - via Fortune, Gerard and Ephestion again.
Not only that, Gakpa reduced the result to 3:5 during the additional time, but Habibou wrote the final score from a penalty kick in 73rd minute - more than deserved victory for Lens, as the side looked ten times more concrete in attack overall. The side is now eight points above the relegation zone and should be safe - however can't be completely relaxed at least not when playing in front of own fans.
Strasbourg is much more individually quality side and should prevail here. I don't see plenty of quality with AC Ajaccio, especially not at the back and in front of opponents' fans, as they surely look like one of the weakest teams on the road.
