Stabaek vs Bodo/Glimt by 20Legend
Stabaek must be very pleased with their performance against Odd (0-1) last weekend. The club is highly involved in the relegation zone and 3rd placed Odd seemed like a tough match before kickoff. However, Stabaek managed to keep on frustrating Odd who is also struggling at the moment. Odd was clearly the best team during the first half with several huge chances to score. However, it is something that bathers the team right now and the lack precision made it 0-0 at halftime.
The second half turned out way different though as Stabaek suddenly started to show themselves on counter-attacks. An individual effort by Muhamed Keita even put Stabaek ahead after 58 minutes. Odd tried to respond, but continued in the same way as in the first half by wasting chances. Stabaek changed tactic into a more defensive way in order to close the win down and they succeeded in the end. The three points was very vital as they went passed Lillestrom and took the 14th place that gives qualification. However, with 24 points, it is only three points up to the safe place that belongs to tonight’s opponent.
Bodo/Glimt got smashed 1-3 against in-form Brann last weekend and was not satisfied with their defensive performance. Things went way too slow and individual mistakes cost them the initiative throughout the game. It was therefore a pleasant surprise for them as Sarpsborg 08 got smashed out of the cup with 4-0 during last week. It was quite an oppsite performance from Bodo/Glimt with solid defensive play and exciting offensive combinations.
The offensive counter-attacks is what Bodo/Glimt is known for and it was the recipie behind all four goals. Sarpsborg got disorientated as the game progressed and struggled to even get hold of the ball. It was also the perfect response from Bodo/Glimt as motivation is crucial for the remaining six games. Bodo/Glimt can control their own faith as they have the 13th place at the moment, but it is only three points down to the red zone. Defender Daniel Edvardsen (18/0) is suspended.
It is obviously an important game for both teams when number 14 and 13 face each other tonight. Both teams have also got a very positive performance too build onto which is important. Bodo/Glimt has a current good form when looking at their latest five games in Tippeligaen (2-2-1), but they need to keep their level from the game against Sarpsborg. Stabaek has also 2-2-1 from their latest five games and has looked sharper with only two losses from the last ten games (3-5-2). However, both teams must be willing to go forward in this match and both teams to score should be a good pick.
