St. Mirren vs Raith Rovers by Luke
St. Mirren still cannot stabilize their game and this was visible against Falkirk too, where they lost 2:3. They had the lead with 2-0 by the 38th minute and all seemed to be going as they wanted with the goals of Scott Agnew and Stephen Mallan, but Falkirk stand up, took the possession and scored three goals.
The big defensive problems remain for St. Mirren, but at least they are improved offensively and their approach to the home games are quite offensive. They strengthened the attacking line with the acquisition of striker Lawrence Shankland from Aberdeen, he played in the previous game and he is expected to play tonight too. Right back Jason Naismith will miss the game due to injury.
Raith Rovers won 1:0 over Queen of South at home, but the image of the game was completely different. Queen of the South was the team who had the control of the match, created good opportunities to score and showed that sooner or later they will achieve the first goal of the match and take the victory. But things went against the flow of the match, with Raith Rovers to score a goal in the 78th minute.
The fact is that Raith Rovers created a powerful squad that is capable of straining any opponent and this was visible last week against Queen of South although they were a little bit lucky. Central midfielder Lewis Vaughan was injured last week and will be absent for long, while also central midfielder Ross Callachan and defender Craig Barr will both miss the game.
I do not think that St. Mirren will be able to stabilize their game once again while on the other side Raith Rovers is a team with good potential, but away from home they are unstable too. A difficult game to make 1X2 prediction, but I am sure that this will be an open one.
