SonderjyskE vs OB by Isaiah
SonderjyskE had a very good game in the away clash against Aarhus where they won with the score of 1:2. They entered the game really well and scored the first one to 25th minute with striker Thomas Dalgaard, but they received the equalizer after four minutes. In the second half the match was more tight, few actions for goals, but SonderjyskE managed to find the way to go away with all three points with a goal five minutes before full time from young striker Jeppe Simonsen who entered the game as a sub.
This was the third win in the last five games for SonderjyskE and with this result, they climbed to fourth position in the league standings. They are now just one point from the top three, however, their main target this season is European exit and to stay in top six in a comfortable way. Midweek they faced Vejgaard away from home for the Danish Cup and won 1:3, but they proved once again that they have problems in defense as they received at least a goal for one more game. They conceded at least a goal in eight of all eleven official games they gave this season so far. Only left winger Emmanuel Okwi (1 game played) will miss due to injury.
OB had a very good game too, at home against Viborg, where they won with the score of 2:0. They were in total control of the game from the first minutes and managed to open the score two minutes before half time with striker Kenneth Zohore. To the second half things were easier for them as Viborg received a red card so they reached 2:0 with a goal from right winger Lasse Kryger who entered the game as a sub.
After the heavy defeat from Esbjerg 4:2 away from home OB returned directly to winning ways so they are now removed from the bottom of the standings and approached just three points from the top three. The game against Sonderjyske is quite important and they must show that they can claim more than their previous away games. Midweek they experienced a shock result, losing away from home against Fredericia 2-1 for the Danish cup. Main keeper Michael Falkesgaard (4 games), defensive midfielder Mohamed El Makrini (9 games, 1 goal), right winger Mikkel Desler (1 game) and striker Anders Jacobsen (4 games, 1 goal) will all miss the game due to injuries.
Both SonderjyskE and OB proved so far that they are having attacking virtues and that they can score against any opponent. But both are also facing problems in defense, especially OB who received 15 goals in nine league games. Their mutual games were also full of goals so I do not think that this will change tonight.
