Sochaux vs Nimes by Lucien
Sochaux comes from second consecutive defeat, as the team suffered 2:1 loss away from home against Lens last Monday evening. Their players gave a decent fight in the previous game and even took the lead in 69th minute via Ogier, but still suffered defeat, deservedly must be said, with goals from Habibou in 84th minute and Cvetinovic in 87th minute.
Previous defeat came in front of own fans as the side lost to Le Havre with narrow 1:0 result, as they previously had three matches without lost (two draws and one victory), as the team continues to be in the middle of the table being currently at 12th position, which is eleven points more than relegating placed Orleans, but also eleven points below first placed Lens. In front of own fans they have no victory in last four (having two draws and two defeats).
Nimes, on the other side, comes from a 2:0 victory at home against Red Star last Friday evening. The game itself was very open one with both teams having plenty of chances to score, with players of Red Star having more ball possession as well, but they didn't convert their chances in comparison to their opponents.
Hosts managed to exploit their chances towards the end of the game when lack of concentration happened in Red Star's defense, as Thioub opened the scoreline in 73rd minute and Valls confirmed the victory in 80th minute with both teams staying with a man less during the additional time. It was eleventh consecutive game for Nimes, with six victories and five draws, as the side climbed up to the table and are currently at fifth position - just four points behind leaders from Lens, thuss they are again in a must win situation.
Sochaux is far away from a naive side, but I see Nimes being in way better form at the moment and way more reliable at the back. Draw can't be excluded, but I see plenty of chances for Nimes to pull out a three pointer here with more than valuable odds.
