Sirius vs Malmo FF

In the middle of the World Cup hype, there is still football being played elsewhere. Allsvenskan is picking up again after a break.

Malmo FF will enter the restart of Allsvenskan with a huge boost, as the team made several key changes. The board says that finishing top 3 is the ambition after the disaster start. A new head coach was recruited, namely Uwe Rosler from Germany. He comes with experience from English football and also a session in Norway. The players have already praised the new atmosphere and intensity during training. However, the more enticing arrival is the return of midfield engine Anders Christiansen who did not succeed in Belgium and decided to rejoin Malmo who he left last season and was voted the best football player in Allsvenskan 2017. Despite what the league table indicates, Malmo are shaping up to make a deep run for the top positions.

The visitors have no serious absence concerns for the time being.

Sirius have already re started the league, and they did so with a 1-3 loss at home versus GIF Sundsvall. This leaves them at the bottom of Allsvenskan with only 5 points in 12 matches and a disaster record (1-2-9). To make things worse, their reliable striker Shkodran Maholli is rumored to leave the club.

Sirius have had an extremely unlucky situation with injuries and player disciplin. For example, their main goal keeper Joshue Wicks was suspended after failing a test. Instead, 36 year old keeper Karim Fegrouche is the new man in goal, who has conceded 8 goals in the last 2 matches. It already looks certain that Sirius will be relegated this season unless a miracle happens very soon.

Unbeatable Odds

Play now Low margins & High limits

The problems become more evident when Sirius are barely able to field a starting eleven of good enough quality for Allsvenskan. The substitution bench is very thin and cosist of previous Superettan players, and players recently recovering from injuries, and youngster from the academy in Sherko Faiqi. Such player material is simply too weak to survive in this league.

In these current circumstances, Malmo can not really complain at anything. Their toolbox is enormous and should be able to collect a long winning streak starting from this match. The revenge lust is huge and anything but a solid victory against the bottom side Sirius would be an underachievement. For that reason, asian handicap on the visitors will be the selection.

Sweem is back but ur form

  2. Skippo says:

We have to Remember that Malmö will play Champions League Quali on 10.07 just few days from today and will not give everything in todays game. Like Cork City yesterday.

  3. Sweem says:

Absolutely, my form is questionable but — I have also been haunted by bad luck which I cant believe.

Peru – Denmark: Missed penalty, instead goal against despite dominating
Sweden – S.Korea: Penalty late in the game
Morocco – Iran: Own goal in 95th minute ruins the bet
Mexiko – Sweden: Own goal ruins the bet

Malmo should run over Sirius with ease

  4. TFB says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if Malmo went on a monster run now. Rosler is a great manager for this league, a future Premier League manager potentially.

Guys, Sweem will always be profitable in the long run. Before he was an editor he had almost 200 profit. If betting was all profit bookies wouldn’t exist.

However Sweem, I never agreed with you underestimating Sweden in this WC. I always thought they had a chance to do this.

  5. Sweem says:

TFB – Re: Sweden, I am surprised by our success. However it’s not pretty with 30% possession but I have learned that thia style of play works in Cup format, but would not work in for example League football.

That being said, I hope we do well! :)

  6. TFB says:

Well, Leicester did it when they won the Premier League. Averaged just over 30%.

But yeah, you can’t score without the ball.
