Sevilla vs Celta by Isaiah
Sevilla finished 2014 with a 0:0 draw at home against Eibar and they have to play from 14th of December since the match against Real Madrid was moved to February. According to match reports they conquered the match, created a lot of opportunities to score goals but they where just unlucky to the final effort, while Eibar played full defense. Now with one match less played, they are just one point away from top four and five points away from the third position, with the exit to the next Champions League to be their big objective.
Sevilla remains unbeaten at home with five wins and three draws, scoring 16 goals and receiving just five. Key defenders Daniel Carrico and Benoit Tremoulinas are both back in action to strengthen their defensive line, while defensive midfielder Vicente Iborra is back as well. Main right back Coke is doubtful, while there is no other notable problems for Sevilla.
Celta is in a big downtrend as after their win away to Barcelona they suffered a lot of bad results. Since then they did not scored a single goal for six league games, counting five consecutive defeats. In the most recent game against Almeria (0:1) they were down early from 17th minute, and had a missed penalty in 71th minute. Away from home they have a mediocre record with two wins, three draws and three defeats, and all three defeats came recently without scoring a goal (1:0, 3:0 and 1:0).
Coach Eduardo Berizzo made many changes in recent games to return to winning ways but now he is forced to make again changes as he will miss key striker Nolito (5 goals) and also key striker Joaquin Larrivey (7 goals). Main midfielder Augusto Fernandez will miss due to injury, while main midfielder and captain of the team Borja Oubina is injured too. In overall Celta will miss 12 of all 17 goals they achieved so far.
Sevilla rarely faced problems at home games this season, and I think that against Eibar was the exception. Celta is not to a good mood at the moment and without Nolito and Larrivey i just can't see a way for them to score. Sevilla to win this one.
