Sandnes Ulf vs Ull/Kisa by 20Legend
Sandnes Ulf is fighting for a place among the top six this season and they are positioned in 4th place at the moment. However, it is close as never before with 4th placed Sandnes Ulf, 5th placed Kongsvinger and 6th placed Mjondalen all at 45 points. 7th placed Strommen has 41 points which makes it possible for them to catch one of the places with three games to go. However, a lot should go wrong if Sandnes Ulf do not make the qualification given their peroformances the recent two months (6-2-1). It was therefore a slight setback when 6th placed Mjondalen beat them 1-0 in the last game.
It was a close game when looking at the gameplay, but it was created chances both ways. However, the nerve in in the game kept it close until stoppage time when Mjondalen could celebrate three highly valuable points for the club. It was Sandnes Ulf’s first loss in nine games, but it was also a wakeup call for the remaining three games.
Ull/Kisa is fighting at the other end of the table, but the points are even more valuable to them in their situation. They are in 13th place with 28 points in 27 games which makes them only one point behind safe placed Hodd in 12th place. The team is desperate to gain points and had been a tough team to beat all season for the other teams. Their morale to fight for each other has given them narrow losses, but also points against the best teams in the league. Their last game against Kristiansund (2-3) was one of the best game I have seen in OBOS-Ligaen this season.
Ull/Kisa took charge against the league leaders and went 2-0 up which was also the score at halftime. However, Kristiansund is chasing direct promotion and gave Ull/Kisa problems when they became more defensive in the second half. Ull/Kisa’s players started to get tired and gave away two penalties with Kristiansund also fighting a third goal across the line. It was a tough loss for Ull/Kisa, but they showed morale once again even if the powers did not hold until the end.
It will be the same scenario for Ull/Kisa tonight as another top team will be their opponents. However, there is a major difference for the team when playing at home (7-3-4) versus away (0-4-9) this season. Sandnes Ulf has shown strength lately and will take revenge for their loss against Mjondalen two weeks ago. The team is good at home (7-3-3) and 28:10 on goal difference to show for. This will be an intense match with both teams have something to gain with three points. Sandnes Ulf will try to dominate while Ull/Kisa will not go down easy and try to use their morale in order to shock the home team.
I expect Sandnes Ulf to take the win here as Ull/Kisa has never won away from home this season. However, I think the circumstances could make the visitor’s score at least one goal and I have no doubts of taking over 2.5 goals in this game.
