Rovaniemi vs HIFK by Isaiah
Rovaniemi is in a decent period now, as the team has just one defeat in last four, coming from a 1:1 draw away from home against PS Kemi in previous round last week. Their hosts entered the game better and took the lead via Mansally in 31st minute, however guests replied with better performance later on.
Vaisanen leveled up the result in 55th minute and the guests remained being better on the field, however second goal never came. It needs to be said that if one of the teams deserved to take all three points, that would surely be a visiting side. Rovaniemi is undefeated in last two, standing now at tenth position with seven points more than play-out placed HIFK and this match is a perfect chance for them to detach themselves from the red zone even more. Winger Aapo Heikkila (no performance so far) is a long term absentee.
HIFK, on the other side, couldn't do much more last time out, as the team suffered heavy 4:1 defeat away to Lahti, without really showing any kind of competitive face during the ninety minutes. It's their fourth defeat in last five rounds and the team will need to impress further in order to stay active in relegation battle.
They failed to build up on their previous victory away to JJK Jyvaskyla week earlier, as the team entered the match away to Lahti really poor, conceding two goals already inside first eight minutes, via an own goal and a goal from Hostikka. Even though they replied via Forssell in 26th minute, they stood very defensive in the second halftime as well, conceding goals in 46th via Hertsi and Simonovski in 81st minute. Defender Jani Backman (6/0) won't be playing in this one being suspended.
Rovaniemi has shown so much more during the season and I'm sure that the team is in way better momentum. When we add a bit of individual quality in favor of the home team, I can't see visiting side remaining undefeated here.
