Rosario Central vs Colon by Isaiah
After two consecutive victories in Primera Division, away from home against Newells Old Boys 3:1 and in front of own crowd against Racing Club 4:1, Rosario didn't manage to make full surprise away to River Plate, but still stood very well on the field, especially in defense and took important and positive point in a goalless draw.
Players of River Plate have created more and looked as a more dangerous side overall, but the visiting side was defending well and had also their share of ball possession, however without being actually really threatening in attack after all. This was their third game without defeat, as the side stands at eleventh position now, having just a point more than Talleres Cordoba, side that isn't at Copa Sudamericana play-off places, so a victory here is a must.
Hosts should be missing left back Cristian Villagra (17/0), right back Victor Salazar (12/0) and midfielder Jose Fernandez (12/1) due injuries, all being out in previous few matches too.
Colon, on the other side, seems to be far away from their best performances and form, as the team comes from two straight defeats and fourth consecutive match without a vicotry. They come from a surprising 1:2 defeat at home against Gimnasia La Plata last Saturday evening.
However, the game has started well for them, since the players of Colon took the lead in 32nd minute with a goal from Torres, however everything changed in the second halftime when the players of Gimnasia started attacking and risked more. They reverted the scoreline with two goals from Ibanes, in 61st and 76th minute in a game that could have easily finished as a draw too. They are now at ninth position, having just three points more than Rosario and can't afford to lose this one, since they need improvement in atmosphere but also chasing the positions that will lead them to International competitions later on.
Defensive midfielder Fidencio Oviedo (15/0) is injured, same as central midfielder Pablo Ledesma (21/1), both missing in previous matches too.
Momentum completely favors Rosario this time and having in mind that they will be playing in front of own fans, I don't see Colon escaping here with point(s).
