Roma vs Lazio by Enzo
Roma had quite an easy job last weekend as the team managed to get easy three pointer away to Pescara celebrating 4:1 victory. Quality difference was obvious between the two sides and it looked like players of Roma could have scored a goal anytime they had the ball to their feet.
Visitors took the double lead in last moments of the first halftime, with goals from Strootman and Nainggolan in last two minutes, while they even increased the lead with two more goals from Salah in 48th and 60th minute. All the visitors were able was to reduce in 83rd minute with a goal from Benali, but the victory of Roma was never in doubt.
Hosts should be playing in some version of 4-2-3-1 formation with Dzeko as central striker and with offensive support of Shaarawy, Nainggolan and Salah behind him. Right back Alessandro Florenzi (9/0) remains injured, while midfielder Leandro Paredes and offensive Francesco Totti have some fitness issues and remain doubtful.
Lazio, on the other side, comes from a very convincing performance last weekend, as the team crushed Palermo in front of own fans with a 6:2 result. They had excellent first halftime and managed to score five goals inside first twenty-six minutes which already sealed the victory.
Immobile scored twice inside first ten minutes, while Keita scored next three goals in first halftime. Visitors responded with two goals from Rispoli early in the second, but Crecco sealed the result in 90th minute. It was their first victory after three matches without a three pointer, while they stand at fourth position now, having seven points less than third placed Napoli.
Visitors are set to play in kind of a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Immobile as number nine, Milinkovic-Savic and Anderson as offensive midfielders most likely. Goalkeeper Federico Marchetti (17/0) is injured
- Roma have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 home matches against Lazio.
After Juventus' setback couple of days ago, Roma has a glimmer of hope to get back into the title race, but also they need to get a victory in order to maintain the difference to third placed Napoli which is just four points. Overall, I believe Roma is in a better momentum and surely with more individual quality.
