Reims vs Montpellier by Sunshine

After losing first two opening matches in the season, where it was obvious that Reims players need to overcome playing in Ligue 2 and not to look that nervous on the field, they started with much better performances - at home against Sochaux 1:0 in third round and away from home in the previous round against Tolouse when they should have won the game, but instead of all three points had to be satisfied with a 1:1 draw.

They were better in all the areas, taking the lead in 57th minute, but failed to keep the clean sheet in injury time. This was their second goal conceded in injury time, as they were also left without a point on the road to Bastia in the second round, although they were leading at the half-time and didn't look like losing near the end of the game. It seems that their defense is not that reliable for the first tier of French football and what's more, that they are inexperienced for the highest level. The hosts are hit with several injury problems in front of this game, as main central defender Fofana is unavailable, just as substitute midfielder Ramare and two offensive players - Toudic and Ayite. However, neither of these players with the exception of Fofana did play important role this Summer. Left back Sekkat is back in the squad, while midfielder Ghisolfi could be handed a debut.

Montpellier, on the other hand, has the same record as their opponents, with the difference that their win was earned in the last match played and that they are looking better and better on the pitch. As it could be understood, the team didn't open the season in a good style with losses against Lorient and Marseille, but as said they did looked much better on the road two weekends before, as they won over Sochaux 3:1.

They looked much better in comparison to previous three games, leaving no space for the hosts to get back into the game and have fairly won in a game they never looked like getting less than three points. Especially good was striker Herrera, who scored his second consecutive goal on the road. Only missing player for this game should be central defender El Kaoutari, who had a substitute role anyway.

Guests looked much better in their previous game against Sochaux. It looks like their offensive part of the team, led by Herrera, Belhanda and Utaka is working better and better and they are surely slight favorites for this game. Still, the odds are looking a bit short for their win, while the goals look like certain in this game. Reims will surely try to find a way to score here, while the guests should build up on their recent victory - with goals. Odds are currently more than worth a shot.
