Randers vs Midtjylland by Meese
Randers didn't look that bad last weekend, however the players of Silkeborg deserved the victory in the end, winning the match with a 3:2 result event though they were back in the scoreline till last thirty minute of the clash.
Hosts took the lead in eight minute via Skhirtladze, but the response of Randers was very concrete in the first halftime, as the guests leveled up the result with an own goal just four minutes later and took the lead in 34th via Conboy. However, they were way more passive in the second halftime as the hosts increased the tempo and reached their victory thanks to goals from Skov from penalty in 62nd and a second goal from Skhirtladze in 70th minute. The side now slipped down to the last position at the table with second consecutive defeat, having now two points less than closest Helsingor.
Home side will miss midfielder Andreas Bruhn (4/0) and forward Marvin Pourie (17/1).
Midtjylland, on the other side, is in a really good form now, as the team comes from their fourth consecutive victory in Superliga, winning over Odense 3:1 last Monday evening. They had a great entrance into the match and appeared very strong for their opponents, scoring three goals in the first halftime, thanks to Poulsen, Duelund and Del Hende.
From that lead on, they lowered down the tempo and actually looked passive - obviously being satisfied with the lead they have. Even though the guests created decent number of chances in second halftime, they were only able to reduce the deficit in 56th minute via Helenius. The side continued being second at the table, but now have just two points less than leaders from Brondby are surely want all three points in this one.
Guests are set to miss defenders Alexander Munksgaard (2/0, injured) and suspended duo Zsolt Korcsmar (16/2) and Kian Hansen (16/0).
- Midtjylland are undefeated in their last 10 matches.
Even if they miss defensive players, I still see Midtjylland as complete favorites in this one. Randers is far below the quality needed in order to be competitive again in-form visiting side that will surely enter the match with a boosted morale after recent setback of Brondby.
