QPR vs Cardiff by Shibby
Another Championship clash for me, this one is on Saturday and will kick off at 15:00 UK time. The game will be played at Loftus Road, London and will see QPR host Welsh outfit, Cardiff City. This game I believe will be quite an interesting one, it sees the return of Neil Warnock back to one of his old clubs, QPR. It will be a game that Warnock will want to win for several reasons, personal reasons also I'm sure.
The home side, QPR have had a terrible season if I'm being honest, many R's fans would have expected that they would be challenging for promotion back to the Premier League, however, they find themselves in a relegation battle! They currently sit in 17th in the league, they are only 7 points in front of Blackburn Rovers, who seem to have hit a little bit of form since Coyle left. Will QPR go down, no I don't believe they will, however, the club seems to be struggling a little of late.
I'm a big fan of QPR manager Holloway, he is a great character for football and brings some added and much needed entertainment to QPR. Their league form before heading into this game isn't great either, they can't seem to get a run together, their form has been very inconsistent. Their last 5 games has seen them win 2 (vs Wigan and Birmingham) and lose 3 (vs Blackburn, Huddersfield and PNE). What is consistent is they seem to be scoring and conceding goals on a regular basis.
Cardiff on the other hand are not giving up their fight for a play off place, their last 5 games has seen them lose just once (vs Norwich). Their last 3 games has seen them remain unbeaten, they won 4 in a row (vs Leeds, Derby and Rotherham) they also drew at the weekend vs high flying Fulham 2-2.
Warnock seems to have got his players playing well, he will do a great job next season if he is given a little cash to get a couple more player in that he actually wants. The players he has are not al the players he wanted, his job this season was to keep Cardiff in the league and that's what he's done.
Both teams in this game seem to be scoring goals and are liable to concede goals too, therefore, I'll be backing BTTS at a price of 1.91 with William Hill. Good luck all.
