PSV vs Roda by Sunshine

After great start of the season and winning the Super Cup crown by beating their biggest rivals Ajax, 4:2 at Amsterdam Arena, PSV failed to build up on that performance and suffered a 2:3 loss away to RKC Waalwijk.

None expected defeat a the domestic league season opener, but the team went down to hard working RKC although they took the early lead, by the end of 53rd minute it was 3:1 for RKC and all PSV was able to do is to score another one and make the start less horrible for them. Anyway, after unexpected defeat, they will surely be looking to win in style against mediocre Roda as they are looking to break the four years row without winning the title and after first round failure, they can't afford to lose points once again, at least not against such opponents like this one is. Left back Erik Pieters will not play this game either (but he didn't play a single minute this season including friendly matches, being a long term injured player), just as central midfielder Wijnaldum who got injured last weekend.

Roda, on the other side, also had a disappointing start of the season as they only drew at home against Zwolle. Although their win was very probably before the game, Roda were stunned with an early goal (in seventh minute) from Broerse and they hardly managed to get back in the game.

Their offensive part of the team looked clueless without much pace in the game. Still, they somehow managed to score equalizing goal in 58th minute by Malki, but then one of the creative minds of the midfield, Mitchell Donald got red carded and it was even tougher for Roda to make some real goal scoring chance. Red carded Donald is also the only missing player for Roda this weekend, as he serves a two matches suspension.

PSV traditionally plays well against Roda, especially in Eindhoven with last four mutual matches they play ending as over 3.5 goals and at least two goals difference win for PSV. Similar scenario is expected today as PSV are surely looking to bounce back with much better performance than it was in Waalwijk, while Roda already showed that they aren't at the best level right now. Goals line might seem a bit big, but PSV has some really quality individuals in their squad, especially in offensive part in if they open the game properly, similar score from the previous mutual match might happen when PSV won 7:1 at home.
