Ponferradina vs Almeria by Sunshine
Ponferradina is coming of a decent performance from their side last weekend, when they lost to Barcelona B 2:1 on the road. Although they took the early lead with a goal from Yuri in fourteen minutes, they were unable to control the pace of the game and had to leave the field with empty hands.
This was their fourth loss out of five rounds, a start that can't be seen as a positive one, no matter what. Having only three points out of possible fifteen and occupying 19th position is something that should worry everyone in the club. However, the team didn't play that bad from the beginning of the season and although their record is terrible, their performances weren't that bad and surely this is a team that can escape position that lead to relegation battle very soon. They will be without defenders Javier Carpio who played all matches so far and Helder Rosario, the substitute goalkeeper Santamaria and the midfielder Mateo Miguez.
Almeria, on the other side, started the season very well - with four wins and one loss, being third at the table and looking quite impressive so far. The team is coming from a great 4:0 performance against Deportivo Guadalajara at home.
Although the victory itself was impressive, dominating from the first moment of the game, their defense was a bit unstable and kept the clean sheet with a lot of luck. The defensive line-up is actually one of the problems for them, as they have conceded already eight goals in the Segunda, seven out of these were away from home - in two matches only. However, the things are going well for them still being a team with more than decent individual quality in their team and after a good start they might be hoping for a play-off spot for Primera at least. Rafita midfielder should be the only absent player for this clash.
Although the guests had problems in their previous two matches on the road, they improved a lot in their previous two home matches (getting a 6:0 goal difference in those two) and are expected to give another good performance. Individual quality is on the side of the guests here and although it won't be that easy for them, their loss should be out of question here as long as their attack works well.
