Pescara vs Citadella by Enzo
After four consecutive draws in Serie B and five matches without a victory, Pescara finally responded well and managed to take all three points on the road against Carpi in the previous round of the championship in a game played last Saturday afternoon.
Only goal was scored back in 37th minute via Capone, as the players of Pescara looked better, had more of the ball possession and especially chances created, mostly in second halftime deserving these three points more than fairly this time. The side is now having two victories, four draws and aloss, being currently at seventh position, just three points less than second placed Perugia and position that will be leading directly to Serie A.
They continue to miss central defender Marco Perrotta (5/0), midfielders Ransford Selasi (no appearance so far anyway), Andrea Palazzi (1/0), winger Leonardo Mancuso (1/1), also having few players suspended for the first part of the season, but anyway those didn't play a single minute so far.
Citadella, on the other side, comes from a defeat in front of own fans against Entella last Saturday afternoon with narrow 0:1 result. However, it must be said that the game generally looked pretty much as equal one, with the players of Citadella having more of the ball possession, but couldn't deliver what was needed.
Visitors were oriented on counter attacks and were dangerous at times, scoring the only goal during the additional time of the first halftime via Troiano from the penalty kick. With three victories, a draw and three defeats, Citadella now stands at eight position with ten points, just three less than second placed Perugia, just like their today's opponents. Guests should have no fresh injury worries for this one.
Pescara is playing very offensive football and the reason why they dropped some points in previous matches having draws is with the fact that at times, it tends to be way too offensive. However, it seems that they are now finding a bit better rhythm and looking more stable at the back. They should be able to prevail over modest and not that impressive away from home Citadella.
