Osasuna vs Granada by Jimeno
This is a re-match of the 1/16 of Spanish Copa del Rey where Osasuna will host Granada. Visitors managed to take narrow victory in front of their own fans with a goal from Toral in 52nd minute. No doubt that Osasuna will now try to level up the result as soon as possible and to use their home advantage in order to progress further.
Osasuna suffered fifth straight defeat in LaLiga last weekend, as the team comes from a 2:0 defeat on the road against Deportivo without getting actually very competitive during the match. They weren't that bad, but the hosts took the lead already in seventh minute via Andone, while Babel doubled up in 42nd minute, leaving not much room for the visitors to get back into the match. Osasuna is now at the rock bottom position with only seven points earned and a victory here would significantly boost their morale at least.
Osasuna's head coach Joaquin Caparros will make some additional changes in the team for sure. They have defender Oier (15/0) and forward Oriol (11/2) both set as doubtful. Hosts will surely miss defenders Javier Flano (12/0), Miguel Flano (2/0), Digard (3/0) and midfielder Imanol Garcia (4/0).
Granada, on other side, isn't play much better overall in Primera either, as the team comes from a 0:2 defeat in front of own crowd last weekend against Real Sociedad.
Visitors were actually better for the most of the game and deserved the three pointer, even though it came only in second halftime thanks to goals from Jon in 56th and Juanmi in 69th minute. Granada is now only two points above rock bottom placed Osasuna and the teams are sharing similar under pressure situation.
Granada is set to miss goalkeeper Ochoa (16/0), defenders Gaston Silva (7/0), Foulquier (5/0), Tito (11/0), midfielders Cuenca (10/1), Toral (5/0) and Krhin (5/0).
Both teams look at this match as a chance to slightly safe the season, at least for now. Osasuna will surely try to attack and make the game interesting, while Granada remains with a lot of space on counters. Overall, more open game than what the odds suggest is what I see here.
