Oostende vs Waregem by Meese
Oostende didn't look that poor last weekend as the team took only a point in an away game against Charleroi in a 1:1 draw on Saturday evening. On contrary, they were much better side and probably did deserve to open the scoreline already in the first halftime, but instead of it took the lead in 53rd minute via Musona.
They continued being better on the field and created more chances, but the hosts were concrete in attack and punished them a bit against the flow of the match with an equalizer in 78th minute via Mata. After losing the Cup competition to Waregem few weeks ago, the side now needs to react and climb up in order to secure the European exit, while neither Champions League is too far away - with only four points behind second placed Club Brugge.
Home team won't be able to count at defenders Tomasevic (18/0) and Milic (23/4).
Zulte Waregem, on the other side, failed to impress further after winning the Cup's finals, as the team welcomed last Friday evening Anderlecht and stood defeated with narrow 1:2 result. However, it must be said that the match was pretty balanced one and the final result could have been different on some other day.
Still, visitors were more concrete in front of opponents goal, as they took the lead in 20th minute via Chipciu, with Dalsgaard leveling up the result in 63rd, but the visitors were soon enough in lead again, just nine minutes later via Tielemans. It was difficult defeat for them, since Waregem now stands seven points behind leaders from Anderlecht, but just three points having less than Champions League placed Club Brugge.
Visitors will be missing their first choice goalkeeper Bossut (18/0), but also defender De fauw (24/3) and forward Gueye (9/2).
These two sides played in the Cup finals just a couple of weeks ago and we saw highly entertaining and effective game. I expect no less tonight from them either, since they both need to obtain straight victory in case they are to continue dreaming of reaching the Champions League exit in the end, both sides being pretty close to it points wise.
