Nottingham vs Watford by Luke
Nottingham comes from a 0:1 defeat at home against Huddersfield on Saturday evening, as the team showed lack of determination a bit on the field and generally were lacking fighting passion. Only goal was scored in 43rd minute via Scannell, leaving the hosts whole second halftime to respond, but without much of success.
Their lack of determination might be somehow explained by the fact that the team lacks competitive motive since month ago or so, as Nottingham lost any chance to play in play-off rounds at the end of the season. Currently, they are at tenth position having sixteen points less than play-off zone, while the team at the same time has no injury worries whatsoever. Midfielder Gary Gardner comes from two games suspension ban and will be included into the starting lineup. Coach Freedman has said that he considers re-freshening up his squad a bit after suffering defeat last weekend. Chris Cohen, Andy Reid, Britt Assombalonga and Matty Fryatt are still sidelined with injuries.
Watford continued with great form, coming from a 2:0 victory away from home against Millwall on Saturday evening. The team got the double lead after an hour of play, thanks to goals from Vydra and Guedioura, while the slowed down the tempo once they had the lead and it looked like the team is intentionally resting their players a bit.
This was second consecutive 2:0 victory after the team won over Middlesbrough at home, as they continue their race for the direct promotional placed. Nothing has changed after Tuesday's night results, as all other five top teams have won their matches. This puts them again into a must win situation, just like already all previous two months. Defender Cathcart missed the previous game due calf injury against Middlesbrough, but is back now into the starting lineup. Striker Forestieri is still not fully fit as he misses now his fifth consecutive match. Defender Ekstrand and midfielder Murray continue to be long term absentees.
Watford is doing very well away from home lately, being in a must win situation for this one I can't see any other outcome but their victory. Current odds give us extra safety to try with Asian handicap where the odds are more than worth taking a risk.
