Winnipeg Jets vs Vegas
Vegas Golden Knights continues to do their thing. This new NHL franchise is 3-1 up in this series and only one win away from securing place in the Stanley Cup finals. That would be amazing success cause no one ever managed so, in any of the American professional sport, to reach the finals in their first season.
Made mainly by the second, third or even fourth choices players from other teams, but Vegas proved nothing is impossible.
Especially at home this team was amazing, as in the regular season as well now in the playoffs.
But now they are on the road and need to face Winnipeg Jets who are in a must win situation.
The Jets opened this series with win here at home but then lost three straight including Game 2 that was also here on home ice.
To be honest, I expect today's Game 5 to be the best for Jets in the series so far. I expect strong response from the host. Note that entire season Winnipeg never lost four straight games.
Marc Andre Fleury obviously was big factor in this series for Vegas, but also in entire playoffs. He has achieved some great numbers but I think it's finally time to also this vetaran goaltender play one a little bit weaker game.
Winnipeg definitely has enough quality to cut down Fleury's great so far stats. Scheifele and Wheeler are the two Jets' plsyers from whom it's expected to be crucial today. Winnipeg is a team loaded with offensive talent but the two mentioned players both recorded 20+ points in this postseason.
To be honest, I have feeling this is going to be even much easier win for the Jets than anyone expect. But I will go with more safe option and won't touch regular time odds. Namely, not even one of the so far five games went into Over Time. So, this one might be the first but in any case I favor here Winnipeg Jets.
The host will win and thus force this series back to Vegas for Game 6.
