Vegas vs San Jose Sharks (By: FairPlayBet)
This is IMO the safest bet of the night, and I mean across all sports, NHL, NBA, MLB. For me Vegas is clear winner of this game.
The series is currently tied on 2 wins each.
For me this is the best example of the matchup where home advantage is huge.
The truth is we saw so far two road victories. Namely they split the first two here in Vegas and then also split the next two on Sharks' ice. But those road wins have been in very tied games, both times 3:4 and both times after over time. When the home team was winning, it was really convincing, 7:0 in Game 1 here in Vegas and 4:0 the last time in San Jose (Game 4).
I am pretty confident we won't see anymore road success in this series, Vegas will win tonight and at the end they will be back here to close it with 4:3 overall in the series.
I really like Vegas. I liked them all season long. While many talked shit about them, " new franchise, they won't be able to hold long, those are average players who failed in other teams", I was laughing to those NHL "experts" and was betting regularly on Vegas, especially at home. I mentioned many times Vegas "virus" as important factor when betting on their home games. Though, now it's a playoff so that factor obviously don't count anymore cause everyone tries to play max seriously, even in Vegas.
In any case Vegas proved many times they are the real deal. If for someone home success in regular season was not enough proof, Vegas proved them wrong also with nice road success.
The fact the previous game of this series was the weakest for Golden Knights so far, for me is not reason to be worried. Namely, Martin Jones has managed to shut down the Golden Knights and had some 36 saves if I remember well. But, we know what goalie we are talking about. He knows to be great but not game after game. I am sure he won't be on that level tonight. After all, if this is about goaltenders at all, then I surely give advantage to Marc Andre Fleury over who ever starts for Sharks.
But I don't think it will be about goaltenders, IMO it will be about Vegas' speed.
