New Zealand vs Uruguay by Isaiah
Second day of the sixth group of World Cup U20, game will take place in Ataturk Stadium of Bursa. New Zealand suffered an easy defeat against Uzbekistan (0:3) and the final score speaks for itself. Uzbeks were superior from the beginning to the end of the game and they managed to score early and eliminate any stress. It was obvious that the team from Oceania could not react and threat, and in the second half, according to the flow of the game and the image of the two teams on the field, two more goals came for Uzbekistan.
New Zealand is surely missing experience and cannot stand currently at such a high level of competition. They seemed to be very anxious since this is their first participation to such a tournament. It is very likely that there will be some changes to the original eleven, while there are no injury problems.
Uruguay lost against Croatia with the score of 1:0, an unfair result according to the match reports. The Croats played very hard and were tolerated by the referee, they were slightly better in the first half, but also very lucky in the second half. Croatia missed a penalty but managed to score five minutes before the end of the first half, while Uruguay was very sluggish and passive in that time, while they lost concecration due to the very tough game of Croatia. In the second half Uruguay pressed a lot, missed many opportunities to score and they deserved at least a goal, but this never came.
Uruguay coach Verzeri accepted lot of criticism for his options to the game against Croatia, as he left out the top scorers Nicolas Lopez and Gonzalo Bueno, weakening the team offensively and that was obvious in the first half. There is pressure and stress, but also some great potential in Uruguay roster, and they did not came to Turkey for fun. No absences for Uruguay, Nicolas Lopez and Gonzalo Bueno expected to begin in the original eleven.
Uruguay will get the victory easily.
