Toronto Raptors vs Orlando Magic (By: Miyagi)
What this one simply means is that Orlando must have the lead at half time and lose the game in full time.
First things first, it won't be the first time the Magic will have a strong start against the Raptors this season as they have already done that (having the lead at half time) in 3 of their last 7 meetings with the Raptors, including Game 1 of the series.
They had a solid start in the first quarter in the last game but a terrible offensive display in the second quarter (16-30) closed the door as the Magic never managed to return after that. Of course, one of the main reasons behind that was their bench's low contribution (22p total) and a poor performance from their 6th man and 3rd best scorer Ross (1-5 FG, 5p) as well as a quiet night from their top scorer Vucevic (5-14, 11p) who scored all almost all his points (8) in the first quarter.
This is probably going to be the last game for the Magic this season. Vucevic (is after a max contract) and Ross will be unrestricted free agents this summer and it's fair to expect them to be motivated to give one last good performance.
The defense will be there for the Magic, as has been for the whole season. Gordon is having great games in those series, Fournier and Augustin are also very solid in the offense and if they get some help from Vucevic and Ross, the Magic can stay in this game at least for 2 quarters but eventually, the much better Raptors are going to get the job done today. It's a long shot but worth trying.
